Buying questions
Is it one payment, with nothing to renew?
Yes. $39 once covers every 1.x update, on all of your own Macs. If there’s a 2.0, upgrading will cost $39 for 1.x owners, and 1.x keeps working forever. There is no subscription and nothing renews.
Why does Free have every protection?
Selling safety as an upgrade looks wrong for a vault. And a decoy only in a paid tier would make the licence itself a tell. So tiers differ only in how much you keep and for how many people.
What happens when I reach 25 items?
Only adding stops. Opening, editing, exporting and backing up keep working, licensed or not. Stillroom never holds your files hostage.
Who handles the payment?
Paddle.com, our reseller and Merchant of Record. Paddle runs the checkout, charges VAT or sales tax, sends your invoice and handles refunds. We never see your card. See the privacy policy for what Paddle collects.
Can I get my money back?
Yes: within 14 days, for any reason. See the refund policy.
Teams: what do you offer?
The same app, priced per seat for small offices such as law, medical and journalism. There is no admin console and no way for anyone to open a colleague’s vault, because Stillroom has no master key. Write to hello@stillroomvault.com.
